Thompson M.S. Band Director and General Music Teacher
Don Chilton is currently the band director and general music teacher at Thompson Middle School in Newport, Rhode Island.
The Thompson M.S. Band program consists of the Beginner Band, Advanced Band and Marching Band (Grade 5-8). The bands perform at annual school concerts, community events, parades, and band festivals.
Don is teaching general music for students grades 5 through 8 and has developed a stimulating curriculum that includes Little Kid's Rock guitar and keyboard classes, music technology and active listening skills.

The Thompson Middle School Tri-M Music Honors Society submitted a school song video to the Radio Disney Give-A-Note video contest and were one of two schools to make the semi-finals for the eastern division. Thompson Middle School would like to congratulate George A. Jackson Elementary School in Jericho, NY on their win!!
